Scotland’s acclaimed comic, storyteller and social commentator was a founder of the Funny Farm Comedy Collective which, in 1989, helped kickstart the Scottish stand-up scene. UK attention soon followed for Bruce, and he began writing and performing his own C4 shows, Shoe Fetishist’s Guide and the series Sin with Bruce Morton. Milestones along the way include a Perrier Nomination at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, two UK tours and a critically acclaimed one-man show Blood Below the Window. The show was subsequently adapted as a BBC Radio 4 afternoon drama.
A master of the anecdote, the short gag and the shaggy dog tale, Bruce is a popular headline act at comedy clubs across the country and is a regular showstopper at the Stand Comedy Club. He more recently appeared in the 2022 series of BBC comedy Scot Squad.
